About the riots in Estonia

International Committee of the protection of freedom and civil society expresses its concern at the prevailing these days in Estonia riots. International Committee for the Protection of freedom and civil society causes of these events finds systematic efforts by the Russian secret services, who for many years were deliberately aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Baltic countries, formerly part of the Soviet Union. As a tool to incite tension totalitarian revenge-seekers who do not wish to accept the loss of the Baltic territories, using a variety of legal organizations of Russian-speaking minority, funded and led by the due eastern border.

International Committee for the Protection of freedom and civil society calls on the Russian-speaking Estonian citizens not to succumb to provocation agents of Russian imperialism, and give a rebuff to the enemies of democracy who are trying to bleed each individual part of the population of this country based on language or ethnicity. The stability and order in Estonia, its further movement towards democracy, overcoming the remnants of totalitarianism – for all its citizens regardless of their ethnicity and language preferences.

International Committee for the Protection of freedom and civil society considers it necessary to thoroughly investigate the competent authorities of Estonia, the circumstances that allowed the agency to establish a foreign country is so broad and powerful network of subversive organizations extremist. At current developments should also pay very close attention to the governments of the Baltic states, because we can not exclude the fact that today in Estonia worked through the mechanism that the enemies of democracy in the future plan to use repeatedly.

International Committee for the Protection of freedom and civil society demands from the Russian government immediately stop the practice of continuous interference in the internal affairs of Estonia and other Baltic countries. Russia must finally understand that nor restoration of the USSR, however much of this or who wanted to be impossible. Attempts to use Russia as ethnic and linguistic conflicts in the countries formerly belonging to the Soviet bloc, causing its international reputation irreparable harm and, thus, deprived of any kind was a practical perspective.

International Committee for the Protection of freedom and civil society calls on European Union countries urgently to provide all necessary assistance to Estonia in order to stabilize the situation in that country.
