The Committee of Citizens of Ukraine is extremely concerned about the unprecedented decision of the Ukrainian authorities to totally block access to a number of resources of the global Internet network widely used by many citizens of Ukraine. The Committee of Citizens of Ukraine believes that in this case the government of Ukraine has clearly and quite far exceeded the scope of those powers that were delegated to it by the people of Ukraine.
The Committee of Citizens of Ukraine considers these unlawful and absolutely unacceptable actions of the Government of Ukraine as a clear violation of the fundamental human rights and the first step towards establishing a dictatorial regime in our country. The Committee of Citizens of Ukraine requires the Government of Ukraine immediately, once and for all, to cease all illegal interference in the privacy of Ukrainian citizens and never again at the state level to interfere any longer with the activities of the global computer network Internet.
