Committee of citizens of Ukraine considers the renewal of the former version of the Constitution step which removed Ukraine from democracy.
The Committee of citizens of Ukraine believes that operating in the country from 2004 to 2010 edition of the Constitution provides a more robust mechanisms of separation of powers and a much greater extent contributed to the formation in Ukraine of a multiparty system, rather than returned by the Constitutional Court revised in 1996, focused on its core, the authoritarian regime.
Committee of citizens of Ukraine considers that the return edition of 1996 was taken by the Constitutional Court under pressure from the ruling regime, which aims by all means to strengthen the authoritarianism of his power, methodically destroying at the same time in Ukraine, all the elements of democracy the European model.
Committee of citizens of Ukraine holds the responsibility for this anti-democratic step for the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and the ruling Party of Regions of Ukraine, who first initiated the consideration of this matter to the Constitutional Court and then to ensure the adoption of the necessary decisions by the prior acquisition of the body a sufficient number of judges loyal to him.
