Committee of citizens of Ukraine expresses its concern of the authorities over the last weeks of the campaign of persecution of civil activists protest against the tightening of the rules of taxation of small businesses.
Committee of citizens of Ukraine considers it inadmissible to use the police to quell the country’s civil society, since such behavior is characteristic only of the authorities in countries with totalitarian regimes of the Board and has nothing to do with the declared publicly course for Ukraine’s integration with the European Union.
Committee of citizens of Ukraine requires of the President of Ukraine to take urgent measures to address these violations of democracy and continue to exclude any use of law enforcement authorities for prosecution in Ukraine dissidents.
