Regarding the situation in Belarus

International Committee of the defense of freedom and civil society is concerned about the situation that has recently developed in Belarus in the field of human rights. Total arrests of Belarusian citizens peacefully expressing their disagreement with the policies of the regime, which take place in the streets and squares of most major cities in Belarus can not be acceptable in a modern European state.

International Committee of the defense of freedom and civil society offers to the Belarusian authorities in the shortest possible time to bring their law enforcement activities in strict compliance with applicable today in the civilized world norms of international law concerning human rights.

International Committee of the defense of freedom and civil society draws attention to the Belarusian authorities to the fact that the international community has a sufficient number of effective tools, which if necessary can in some way to ensure compliance in Belarus recognized worldwide for human rights.
